Met Office issues heavy rain warning across the south west

A yellow weather warning is in place in Cornwall and parts of Devon and Somerset

A yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued across the south west.

Cornwall and parts of Devon and Somerset are affected.

The Met Office warning came into place at 8:00am on Monday 13 May and will last until 23:59pm.

The forecaster warns heavy rain is likely to bring some travel disruption and possible flooding in a few places.

The Met Office say people across the south west can expect:

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
