Woman taken to hospital after multi-vehicle crash on main road in Camborne

Police have confirmed a woman has been taken to hospital after a crash that closed a main road in Camborne.

Three vehicles are understood to have been involved on Monday morning, shutting a stretch of Wesley Street.

It happened at the junction for Albert Street, between Centenary Street and Roskear.

Firefighters were also pictured at the scene of the collision, which happened at around 9am on Monday.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at 9am today to Albert Street, Camborne, following reports of a three vehicle collision.

"Emergency services remain at the scene and the road is closed at this time.

"It is unclear if any injuries have been sustained at this time. The incident is ongoing".

However the force has since confirmed that one woman has been taken to hospital, with injuries not described as life-threatening or life-changing.

Inrix Traffic and Travel confirmed the road reopened shortly before 1.30pm.
