Woman rescued after falling of quay at Hayle
Firefighters, paramedics and the coastguard were called
A woman has been rescued after falling five metres (16.4 feet) at South Quay, Hayle yesterday (Saturday, February 15). The woman had fallen into the water, but the tide was out and she was found on hardstanding (a paved surface).
A spokesperson for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters from Tolvaddon along with specialist water rescue equipment from Falmouth and Penzance attended a call to a female who had fallen five metres from South Quay, Hayle. The tide was out and so the woman fell onto hard ground.
She was left in the care of paramedics.
