Woman suffers life-threatening injuries after scooter crash in Torpoint
The casualty was rushed to Derriford on Sunday and police have issued an appeal

A woman is understood to be fighting for her life after a crash in south-east Cornwall.
Police say the scooter rider suffered life-threatening injuries on Trevol Road in Torpoint.
The casualty was rushed to Derriford Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
The collision happened shortly after 2.30pm between Hawthorn Avenue and Trevorder Road.
Officers from the Alliance Firearms Team rushed to the scene, along with local officers.
The road was reopened once an investigation had been carried out.
Devon and Cornwall Police are urging witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
In a statement the force said: "At approximately 1439hrs on Sunday 19th December 2021, a single vehicle road traffic collision occurred on Trevol Road between Hawthorn Avenue and Trevorder Road in Torpoint. The collision involved a Lexmoto Titan 125cc Scooter.
"As a result of the collision, the rider of the Scooter has sustained life threatening injuries.
"The rider of the Scooter was taken to Derriford Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
"Officers from the Alliance Firearms Team as well as Local Officers attended the scene. Once an investigation had been conducted the road was re-opened.
"Any persons who witnessed the collision or has information regarding it, in particular any dashcam footage, are asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101 quoting log number 495 of the 19th December 2021.
"Police would like to thank the public for their patience whilst we dealt with the collision".
