Woman dies after a car 'crashed through a garden wall' on busy road in Truro

It is understood the vehicle landed on another car off the A390, Tregolls Road on Sunday morning

Police have confirmed a woman has died after a crash on a busy road in Truro.

Officers were called to reports a vehicle had collided with a garden wall and another vehicle, which was parked.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on the A390, Tregolls Road on Sunday morning (6th June).

The casualty was taken to hospital but, sadly, could not be saved.

Devon & Cornwall Police say enquiries are ongoing: "Shortly after 11am yesterday (Sunday 6th June) police were called to a report of a collision in Tregolls Road, Truro.

"It was reported that a car - a Kia Picanto - had collided with a garden wall and another vehicle, which was parked.

"Officers attended, along with colleagues from the fire and rescue service.

"The driver of the car - a woman - was taken to hospital but later died.

"Enquiries into the incident are continuing".
