Calls for witnesses after reports of 18-year-old woman 'grabbed' in Penzance

Police are appealing to identify two people who witnessed a woman being 'grabbed on the arm' in Penzance.

It was reported that an 18-year-old woman was walking along Eastern Green on Saturday 6th August between 6pm and 6.30pm, when a van stopped next to her.

A man exited the vehicle and grabbed the woman's arm before attempting to pull her toward the van.

It is said to have happened near the junction with Chyandour Square in Penzance.

Devon and Cornwall police have issued an appeal to identify a man and woman who intervened and assisted the victim, as they may have vital information.

Enquires on the 'incident' remain ongoing.
