Weekly number of coronavirus cases in Cornwall and Scilly falls to below 100

The weekly number of confirmed coronavirus cases across Cornwall has fallen to below a hundred.
Official figures show there were 97 in the seven days up to last Tuesday (3rd March)
That is down by 86 on the previous week - which is a fall of 52.1%

The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly increased by 21 over the weekend, official figures show.
Public Health England figures show that 13,733 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Monday (March 8) in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, up from 13,712 the same time on Friday.
The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests – those carried out by commercial partners – alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.
The rate of infection in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly now stands at 2,402 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 6,570.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 15,928 over the period, to 4,223,232.
Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly's cases were among the 212,926 recorded across the South West, a figure which rose by 491 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
