There's a fresh warning to "keep clear" of sand dunes at a Cornish beach, following a series of "significant" sand falls.

Crantock Surf Life Saving Club, based in Newquay, say the instability of the dunes is "more dangerous than ever before".

They say that even a relatively minor injury on the dunes would need a response from multiple emergency services:

"Whilst it looks fun to play on or sit under the dunes and may in the past have been much safer, the instability of the dunes is significantly more dangerous than ever before.

"As it currently stands even a relatively minor injury on the dunes, if it requires medical attention, would instigate a response from multiple emergency services due to the sheer risk of sand fall and suffocation.

"Over the past few days our patrol members and RNLI Lifeguards Newquay have provided numerous advisories to people still sliding down or digging into the dunes. We absolutely cannot emphasise enough how dangerous this is.

"This post is absolutely not about naming and shaming it’s about educating people to the dangers of the changed conditions.

"Please keep clear of the dunes, share the message to keep clear and enjoy the beauty of the rest of the beach."
