Man wanted by police in connection to assault on woman in Newquay

Devon & Cornwall Police say the victim suffered a serious head injury

A man is being sought by police in connection to an assault in Newquay that left a woman in her 40s with a serious head injury.

The incident took place within a property on Mellanvrane Lane on the evening of Saturday 23rd October.

Now officers are appealing for help to find 44-year-old Ross Paul Hunter, who has links to the town, Camborne and Manchester.

Anyone who has seen the man pictured is being urged to contact Devon & Cornwall Police.

"Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a man wanted in connection to an assault in Cornwall.

"Officers are investigating an assault that took place within a property on Mellanvrane Lane, Newquay, on the evening of Saturday 23 October in which a woman in her 40s sustained a serious head injury.

"Police are now attempting to locate 44-year-old Ross Paul Hunter in connection to this incident.

"Enquiries have been made by police to locate him and officers are now appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts and to report any sightings.

"Hunter is described as white male, 6ft 2in in height, and of large, muscular build with a bald shaved head. He also has tattoos over his arms and shoulder/neck area.

"Hunter has links to Newquay, Camborne and Manchester. If you have seen Hunter, or know of his current whereabouts, please contact 101 or 101@dc.police.uk, quoting log number 1164 of 23 October".
