It'll be open one evening a week, starting tonight

Wadebridge Town Council are opening up a warm space for residents to feel secure and access warmth over the autumn and winter.

They're joining with other partners in Wadebridge to support the community.

The authority says, "it should not be the case that people cannot afford to keep their homes warm, but that is the reality we are facing".

The Town Hall will be open one evening a week from November - starting tonight (Thursday 3 November) - free of charge. It will operate on Thursdays throughout this month and will be open between 6.00pm and 10.30pm. December dates will be confirmed shortly.

You can charge your electronic devices, use Wi-Fi, study or work with hot drinks available. People are invited to bring along anything that makes your evening more comfortable (blankets, cushions etc).

The Council would also like to know what you would like to see in the Town Hall on their warm space evenings.

Wadebridge Library is a warm place to visit during its opening hours, as is Concern Wadebridge located at the Betjeman Centre.

Other areas of warm space can be located on the Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum website VSF, or via the community hub map.
