Victim named after death in Camborne

An 82-year-old man who died following an assault at an address in Camborne has been named.

Barrie Forster died on Thursday 26th November after being taken to Treliske Hospital on Friday 20 November.

He had been found at his address on Gurneys Mews with head and facial injuries.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Mr Forster’s daughter has said that she dearly loved him and that he will be truly missed.

Enquiries are currently ongoing to determine the cause of death and a forensic post-mortem will be carried out.

Steven Forster, aged 39 and from Camborne, has been charged with Section 18 GBH following the death of the 82-year-old.

He was arrested on Friday 20th November and has been remanded in custody to appear before Truro Crown Court on Tuesday 22nd December 2020.
