Dashcam appeal after vehicle failed to stop following crash in Cornish village

Police have issued an appeal as they investigate a crash in St Dennis in which a car failed to stop.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision at a junction between Carne Hill and Domellick Hill two weeks ago.

One driver suffered minor injuries and their car was badly damaged.

Officers say a silver Mercedes left the scene.

Anyone with dashcam footage from Thursday 2nd December is being urged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police.

In a statement, police said: "Police investigating a reported road traffic collision in which a vehicle failed to stop near St Austell, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

"Officers received reports of a collision involving two vehicles at a junction between Carne Hill and Domellick Hill, in St Dennis, on Thursday 2nd December at around 6.10pm.

"One driver sustained minor injuries and their car was substantially damaged at the front end.

"Following the collision, what was believed to be a silver Mercedes left the scene, going down Domellick Hill in the direction of Indian Queens and made no attempt to stop.
