Fears are growing for the safety of a man who has gone missing from a hospital in Redruth.
43-year-old Alan McCusker disappeared from Longreach Hospital on Monday (1st February).
Devon and Cornwall Police have issued an urgent appeal to try to trace Alan, who has previous links to St Austell and Plymouth.
He is originally from Bournemouth and officers think he may have travelled outside of the force area.
They have described him as 5ft 10, of medium build and as having dark brown hair and a full beird when he left the hospital.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a bright blue coat and a black hat with ear flaps.
Anyone who sees Alan is being urged to call 999 straight away.
If anyone thinks they might know where Alan is, they can contact police on 101 and quote log number 812 of 18th February.
"Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 43-year-old man who went missing from Longreach Hospital, Redruth, on Monday 18 January.
"Alan McCusker is described as a white male, 5’10” in height and of medium build.
"He has dark brown hair and had a full beard when leaving hospital.
"He was last seen wearing blue Jeans, a bright blue coat and a black hat with ear flaps.
"Alan has previously been linked to St Austell and Plymouth.
"He is originally from Bournemouth where his family are still residing, though they are estranged.
"He may have travelled outside of the Force area.
"Anyone who sees Alan is asked to call 999 immediately.
"Or, anyone who thinks they may know of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 812, 18/1/21".
