A woman from Ukraine, who is living in Newquay, has set up a fundraising appeal to help locally run organisations during the conflict.
Anna Ingram, who has lived in Cornwall for 17 years, has family in the country. Her Mum and sister are in Eastern Ukraine and other family members are across Western Ukraine and Kyiv.
She set up the fundraising campaign after people came to her asking for suggestions on where they could go to help.
Anna told us: "I spoke to my family and they told me there were lots of little organisations that needed help. In the evening I decided I was going to do it, I started a little page and didn't expect it to be so popular.
"There's a lot, there's so many links and so many official websites and so many bank accounts and for regular people in Cornwall it's so confusing. They want to know if someone's really going to benefit from that money.
"I was hoping for like £100 just to give a little help but I checked this morning and there was £1,135. It's just so overwhelming and amazing to see really".
Her campaign is looking to send support to local voluntary groups in the Ukraine to help financially aid individuals in the towns and cities which have experienced destructions.
In her appeal, she wrote: "Ukrainian people are fighting for their lives and freedom after Russian invasion. Many cities are under constant attack. People are spending days and nights in bomb shelters, scared, many are injured.
"My mum and my sister live in the city called Sumy, it's one of the first locations that got attacked along side city of Kharkiv. The entire East of the Ukraine is still under constant attack.
"The organisations on the ground are doing amazing job, they source and distribute food, medicines, look after families with children and anything that they can help people in destress but they are so limited in funds . Please help people in Ukrainian by donating any amount you can".
She told us her family are staying in the Ukraine during the ongoing conflict.
"At the minute everyone's staying. If you heard all the news, you know Ukrainians are not quick to flee. Their all really patriotic and they say they're all going to stay until the end. Where my family are in East Ukraine they can't leave the city, they're surrounded, so they're just there hoping for the best.
"I have no limit and no aim. I'm already asking everybody to message me the numbers for local people who are helping and volunteer organisations. I'm just doing my bit to help".
