Two people arrested after reports of assault in Redruth
Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the incident last night (30 August)
Two people have been arrested after police were rushed to an incident in Redruth.
It follows reports of a man assaulting a person at a property in the town - with the 36 and 41 year old men taken into custody on suspicion of assault.
Their injuries aren't thought to be serious.
In a statement sent to us, a spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were notified yesterday, Wednesday 30 August, to reports of a man assaulting a person at a property in Redruth and making further threats to harm. Injuries are not believed to be serious.
"Officers attended the scene and carried out searches of the area.
"A 36-year-old man from Redruth was arrested on suspicion of assault and a 41-year-old man from Redruth was arrested on suspicion of assault.
"Both men are in police custody."
Investigations into the incident continue.
