"She was beautiful inside and out": Heartfelt tribute paid following fatal Penryn crash

A heartfelt tribute has been paid to a young woman who died following a crash on the A39 in Penryn.

33-year-old Ekaterina Schofield, known as Eka, was local to the town.

She died in hospital following the collision involving a van last Friday morning (24th June).

It happened at around 9.35am on the A39 between Treliever roundabout and Kernick Road Industrial Estate, Penryn.

A Go Fund Me page has been launched to help pay for her funeral, which has already raised over £5,000.

The family of Eka have paid tribute to her.

They said: “She was beautiful inside and out. She was the most amazing person and there will be a massive hole left forever for all that knew her.

“We would like privacy for our friends and family to grieve at this difficult time. Thank you.”

Officers continue to make enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision.
