Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a biker who died following a crash near Helston.

54-year-old Jay Phillips, from St Stephen, lost his life after the collision with a car on the A3083 on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called at around 2.40pm on 1st August. Sadly Mr Phillips had died at the scene.

Jay's family say he will be remembered as ‘selfless, happy, positive and entertaining’.

They've paid the following tribute: “We are devastated to say that we have lost our beloved Jay in a tragic motorcycle accident on Sunday 1 August.

“Jay was the most selfless man who adored his wife, step-sons and grandchildren.

“We will forever mourn our loss and remember Jay for what he was; a happy, positive and entertaining man.”

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
