Family's heartfelt tribute to biker who died following crash near Holsworthy

Relatives of 58-year-old Mark Colwill say he will be "forever in our hearts"

Police investigating a fatal crash just over the Cornwall border have named the biker who died.

58-year-old Mark Colwill lost his life near Holsworthy last week, when his motorbike and a van collided.

He was from nearby Ashwater, Beaworthy and his family say he was "taken too soon".

Family tribute to Mark Colwill

Mark's family said: "In loving memory of Mark Colwill, who was tragically taken far too soon on Wednesday 10th August, 2022.

"A loving son, husband, brother and devoted dad and grandad.

"Forever in our hearts".

Tragically, Mark was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Wednesday 10 August, which involved a white Ford Transit van and a red motorcycle.

It happened at around 6.30pm at Sandymoor Cross, between Holsworthy and Ashwater.

Officers continue to make enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision.
