A stretch of the A30 in Cornwall was left closed following a three vehicle crash.
Two cars and a lorry were involved in the collision at Scorrier on Tuesday afternoon (4th January) and one of the vehicles has been damaged by fire.
It has been confirmed that nobody has been seriously injured but there was very slow traffic in the area.
The road was shut eastbound, affecting drivers heading towards Chiverton Cross, and police and firefighters have been working to make the scene safe.
It has now been confirmed that the road has reopened and traffic is returning to normal.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on the A30 at Scorrier, near Redruth at around 2pm today 4 January.
"The collision involved two cars and a tanker lorry.
"No serious injuries were reported but one of the cars was damaged by fire.
"Lanes on the eastbound carriageway were closed to allow emergency services to deal with the situation.
"Recovery is being arranged.
"The incident is ongoing."
Inrix Traffic and Travel says: "A30 Eastbound re-opened, traffic easing, accident cleared between A3047 (Scorrier, Scorrier) and A390 (Chiverton Cross roundabout, Chiverton Cross).
"Police have confirmed road has reopened to traffic."
