Three vehicle crash blocks busy A38 in the Glynn Valley

Police believe at least three people have been injured

A three vehicle crash has blocked a busy stretch of the A38 in south east Cornwall.

It is understood to have happened in the Glynn Valley, between Drift Lane and Doublebois.

The collision is reported to have taken place on a tight bend and caused slow traffic in the area.

Police say they believe at least three people have been injured but it is not currently clear how serious the injuries may be at this stage.

The collision has been affecting anyone travelling between Bodmin and Liskeard this evening (15th February).

Closures are in place while recovery work is carried out and officers have advised road-users to seek alternative routes for the foreseeable future.

Inrix Traffic and Travel says: "A38 in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to recovery work and accident, three vehicles involved between A30 (Carminow Cross, Bodmin) and A390 (Twelvewoods Roundabout, Dobwalls).

"A full road closure is in place to recover vehicles and clean the road surface following an accident.

"Affecting traffic travelling between Bodmin and Liskeard."

As of 6.30pm the road still remains closed for recovery work.
