Three people taken to hospital as crash blocks A30 near Bodmin

There were reports of queuing traffic and long delays

Three people have been taken to hospital following a crash on the A30 near Bodmin.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision just before 3pm on Friday afternoon (25th February).

Emergency services were on the scene and there were reports that the Cornwall Air Ambulance was called too.

Officers say three people are going to be checked over at hospital but their injuries are not thought to be serious.

At the time, a spokesperson for the Devon and Cornwall force said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on the A30 near Bodmin, at around 2.50pm today 25 February.

"Emergency services are at the scene.

"Three people from one of the vehicles are being taken to hospital to be checked over but their injuries are not thought to be serious.

There were reports of delays in the area but it has been confirmed that the road has now cleared.

Inrix Traffic and Travel says: "Road cleared, accident cleared on A30 Eastbound between A38 Launceston Road (Callywith, Bodmin) and A30 (Cardinham turn off, Cardinham)."
