Four people taken to hospital following crash in St Just

Four people have been taken to hospital following a crash in St Just, Penzance.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Bosorne Street around 3pm on Thursday 19th November following the reports of a collision between a car and three pedestrians.

Fire crews were called by the ambulance service around the same time to a collision between two cars and a number of pedestrians on Bosorne Terrace.

Three appliances, one each from St Just, Penzance and St Ives were mobilised, along with a 4x4 Unit from St Just, Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon and two Wholetime Station Managers.

Both the Police and Ambulance Service sent a number of resources and arrived on scene shortly after.

On arrival the first crew gave an update to Critical Control on the number of casualties, and requested ambulances for four casualties.

Fire crews released one casualty who was medically trapped inside their vehicle, and assisted paramedics who were treating a further three pedestrians who had suffered various injuries.

All four casualties were transported by road to hospital and the scene was handed over to police just after 4pm.

"Police were called at around 3pm this afternoon with a report of a collision between a car and three pedestrians on Bosorne Street, St Just, Penzance.

"Ambulance paramedics are attending to four casualties at the scene.

"None are believed to have sustained serious injuries.

"Incident ongoing."

"At 15:00 Critical Control received an emergency call from the Ambulance Service reporting a serious Road Traffic Collision involving two vehicles and a number of pedestrians.

"Three appliances, one each from St Just, Penzance and St Ives were mobilised, along with a 4x4 Unit from St Just, Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon and two Wholetime Station Managers.

"On arrival the first crew gave an update to Critical Control on the number of casualties, and requested ambulances for four casualties.
