Three people injured after rush hour crash on Cornwall's A30

It is believed that three people have been injured following a crash on the A30 in north Cornwall.

Two cars were involved in the collision between Launceston and Bodmin on Thursday afternoon (2nd December).

Police, paramedics and firefighters were all called to the scene.

It is not yet known how serious the injuries may be.

The westbound carriageway is currently closed in the Bolventor area, near the Colliford Lake turn off.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "This is a two car collision on the A30 At Bolventor, Launceston by the Colliford turning. Reported at 4.35pm today.

"On the westbound carriageway which is currently closed.

"Both cars ended up off the road with one on its side.

"It is believed that three people are injured but the severity is unknown at this time.

"Ambulance crews are on the scene, plus fire crews."

Inrix Traffic and Travel says: "One lane closed and heavy traffic due to recovery work and debris on road on A30 Westbound from Codda (Bolventor / Jamaica Inn, Bolventor) to A30 (Preeze Cross, Millpool).

"Lane one (of two) remains closed for recovery of a accident involving two vehicles , causing delays from Launceston to Bodmin."

As of 7pm one lane is still closed westbound.
