Two boys have been sentenced after an attack on a homeless man last year in Truro.

The attack happened on Saturday 12th February and footage shared on social media appeared to show a homeless man being kicked in Moorfield car park.

The teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were both found guilty for attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent in November.

One of the boys has been sentenced with a 12 month referral order.

The second boy will be under a youth rehabilitation order for 18-months but will not be subject to a curfew.

When discussing the incident last year, the Judge told the defendants the "event was sickening" and described the attack as "an incredibly serious offence".

Neither of the teenagers will go to custody.
