A teenager from Cornwall is fundraising to buy spa days for hospital staff at Trelikse, on the frontline battling coronavirus.

14-year-old Angelina is cycling eight miles every day for 40 days, in the hope to raise £1,000.

She is currently around half way to her target.

Angelina was inspired after Captain Sir Tom Moore's fundraising efforts for the NHS by walking laps of his garden during the first lockdown.

After hearing about the emotional stress health workers are facing during the pandemic, Angelina decided she wanted to do something to help.

"I sort of first though of it when Captain Tom Moore did his walk, then when he passed away I thought about it more, so set up a page and started doing it.

"I've been watching different programmes over the past few weeks and months, and seeing the stress that the staff are being put under the emotions that they're being put through."

"My name is Angelina and I am going to cycle 8 miles every day for 40 days to raise £1,000 so I can buy Spa days for all Corona Virus Doctors and Nurses at Treliske Hospital in Truro.

"They have done a lot for us and I just want to give something back.

"I will start cycling on the 20th of February 2021 and I will cycle every day until the 31st March."
