Dog saved after getting its head stuck between rocks on beach in Newquay
Firefighters used special crash rescue equipment to free Boady at Towan, after lifeguards spotted the pet in distress
A dog has been rescued after getting its head stuck between rocks at a beach in Newquay.
RNLI lifeguards called firefighters after spotting Boady in distress at Towan.
It happened on Thursday afternoon and crews used specialist crash rescue equipment to free the pet.
Luckily, it escaped unharmed and could be seen wagging its tail after being reunited with its relieved owners.
Posting on Facebook, Newquay Community Fire Station described the incident as unusual.
"Green Watch have just returned from an unusual incident - a dog with head stuck between two rocks at Towan Beach sea pool.
"We utilised Newquay's brand new appliance and brand new crash rescue spreader.
"The dog was released unharmed".
