Six teenagers, released on bail following an attack on a homeless man in Truro, are to face strict conditions.

Seven were arrested after the incident in the Moorfield Car Park last month; one has been released with no further action.

Police have confirmed the others have been re-bailed and will be subject to curfews as well as being banned from certain locations.

Officers are still investigating what happened, after shocking video footage emerged online.

They are liaising with youth services and the Crown Prosecution Service.

In an updated statement on Tuesday morning, Devon & Cornwall Police said: "Police continue to investigate a serious assault on a man in Truro.

"Seven teenagers in total were arrested in connection to the assault in Moorfield Carpark on 12th February.

"One has since been released with no further policing action to be taken against them.

"The remaining six have since been re-bailed until Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th May.

"This will allow investigative officers to continue to liaise with Youth Services and the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to this case.

"Strict conditions, which includes curfews and location bans, remain in place for the six suspects who remain on police bail".
