A stretch of Cornwall's A30 that was closed amid reports of a serious crash has reopened.

Two cars collided between Victoria and Indian Queens and one is understood to have broken down.

National Highways South West tweeted to say police had closed the westbound carriageway due to a "serious collision".

They added that the incident was causing long delays, adding around 15 minutes to normal journey times.

Devon & Cornwall Police have since responded to say that no-one suffered serious injuries.

Inrix Traffic and Travel Service said: "Queueing traffic due to earlier accident. Two vehicles involved on A30 Westbound from B3274 (Victoria) to A39 (Indian Queens, Indian Queens). All lanes have been re-opened. The road was re-opened at 12:05".

An earlier update described the crash as serious and stated: "A vehicle drove into a broken down vehicle resulting in a full closure".
