Storm Eunice: Travel disruption and fallen trees across Cornwall

Storm Eunice has well and truly arrived and has been causing travel disruption right across Cornwall.

The red warning for wind was in force along the north coast until 12pm but an amber warning covering the whole of the Duchy is out until 9pm tonight (18 February).

The Met Office says there could be a danger to life because of the huge waves and flying debris.

Numerous trees have fallen onto roads around the Duchy and there has been travel trouble across the day.

Travel disruption across Cornwall throughout the day:

WASHAWAY A389 - in both directions closed due to fallen tree from Old School Lane (Washaway) to Egloshayle Road (Egloshayle).

Due to multiple fallen trees, the road has been closed since 10:15

LOSTWITHIEL A390 - in both directions closed due to fallen tree between Two Trees Road (Lostwithiel) and B3359 (East Taphouse).

CAMBORNE A3047 - Tolvaddon Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to fallen tree between Pendarves Street and East Hill.

A38 LISKEARD - currently closed in both directions, there is slow traffic due to fallen power cables and a fallen tree fromthe A390 (Island Shop Junction, Liskeard) to B3252 (Trethawle).

Inrix Traffic and Travel says a tree has come down and landed on a parked lorry, also taking down a set of power cables. The road has been closed since just after 8.15am.

CARKEEL A388 - Westbound partially blocked, slow traffic due to fallen tree between Dirty Lane (Carkeel) and Vollards Lane (Hatt).

QUINTRELL DOWNS A3058 - in both directions partially blocked due to fallen tree at Bridle Way. Traffic is coping well.

KESTLE MILL A3058 - in both directions partially blocked, slow traffic due to accident and fallen tree at Bridle Way.

LOSTWITHIEL B3268 TANHOUSE ROAD - Tanhouse Road in both directions partially blocked due to fallen tree at Couchwell Lane. Traffic is coping well.

CALLESTICK B3284 - partially blocked due to fallen tree at A30 (Perranporth Turn Off). Traffic is coping well.

MAWGAN B3293 - partially blocked due to fallen tree near Gweek Drive. Traffic is coping well.

PERRANPORTH B3284 LISKEY HILL - reports of Liskey Hill partially blocked due to a trampoline on road near Wainsway. Traffic is coping well.

CARHARRACK B3298 - in both directions partially blocked due to debris on road near Foxes Row. Traffic is coping well.

The roof of a house is reportedly in the road.

PRAZE B3303 STATION HILL - Reports of Station Hill partially blocked due to fallen tree near B3280 Praze Road. Traffic is coping well.

WADEBRIDGE EGLOSHAYLE ROAD - Egloshayle Road partially blocked due to fallen tree near West Park. Traffic is coping well.

TRURO MORESK ROAD - in both directions closed due to fallen tree from Mill Lane to Treseders Gardens. Traffic is coping well.

LISKEARD PLYMOUTH ROAD - Reports of Plymouth Road partially blocked due to fallen tree near Trevanion Road. Traffic is coping well.

TRELISSICK KING HARRY FERRY - Vehicle ferry not operating due to strong winds on King Harry Ferry between Trelissick and Philleigh.
