Young man taken to hospital following suspected 'stabbing' in Padstow

A young man has been taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound in Padstow.

Police were called at 2.30pm yesterday (17th April) to Dennis Road, to reports that a man in his 20s had been assaulted.

He was taken to hospital where he remains with injuries which are not life-threatening.

Officers carried out a search of the area and seized a knife in connection to the incident.

A number of cordons were put in place whilst officers carried out enquiries in the area, which have since been lifted.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police have now confirmed that he has been released on bail until 12th May, pending further enquiries.
