The annual St Agnes Bolster festival is taking place this May bank holiday weekend (the 3rd and 4th of May).

Every year on the first May bank holiday, the villagers re-enact a Cornish folklore story with a procession of the giant 'Bolster' and all the characters from the legend.

The procession goes through the village and over the clifftops above Chapel Porth.

It's a tradition that's been staged every year for the last 20 years.

The event will have a torchlit procession, community plays, live music and dancing and a dramatic parade with a 'showdown' between Bolster and St Agnes.
