Some parts of Cornwall woke up to snow on Sunday morning (11th April), IN APRIL!

Yes, you did read that right and no, this is not a late April Fool!

Four Lanes near Redruth was one of the areas where locals got a shock when they opened the curtains...

And this is not the first time the village has been one of the few areas of the Duchy to see flurries this year!

Official Weather UK shared this photo on Twitter, describing it as "rather exceptional" for April.

"Snow in Four Lanes near Redruth in West Cornwall. For April, settling snow is rather exceptional.

"This is the fourth instance of settling snow in this location over the extended winter season 2020 - 2021".

Kernow Weather Team's map shows how the band of wintry showers moved across Cornwall on Sunday...

By that stage, locals had already experiences settling snow, including Bob Mehen who is the head gardener at Roseland Parc.

He shared these photos, posting "what on earth's going on?".
