A campaign to help save a struggling Cornish brewery has smashed its target in just four days.

Skinner's, based in Truro, has been struggling during the coronavirus pandemic with sales down over 70 percent last year.

With pubs not able to reopen until May, bosses say they need help to save the business.

A crowdfunding campaign was launched on Monday, aiming to raise £100,000.

Now just four days later it has already smashed its target.

"Well, this is a proper lump-in-throat moment.

"You’ve DONE IT! In just four days you’ve smashed our survival target, helping to secure the future of our independent brewery & the jobs of our dedicated team.

"A remarkable and humbling moment for us all here at Skinner's HQ.

"We’re off to dry our eyes (is it too early for a beer?) THANK YOU from Steve & Elaine."
