Sexual assault in Camborne
It happened in the Barripper Road and Boundervean Lane area.
Detectives have launched an investigation into a sexual assault which happened in the Barripper Road and Boundervean Lane area of Camborne.
Police were notified just after 2am on Sunday 2 February to reports that a man had sexually assaulted a woman before fleeing the scene.
Officers attended the area, and a police cordon was put in place at the scene while officers carried out further enquiries. The cordon has since been lifted.
The victim is currently being supported by specially trained officers.
Detective Inspector Claire Nicholls said: “We understand an incident such as this has caused some concern amongst the local community. We are doing all we can to track down the suspect and will provide updates as we have them.
“We are seeking the public’s help and would specifically like to hear from you if you have dashcam footage available and were driving in the vicinity of Barripper Road/Boundervean Lane/Pendarves Road between 00.44am and 1.35am on Sunday 2 February."
