Man suffers serious injuries after being found lying in the road in Tavistock

Police have issued an appeal for CCTV and dashcam footage after the incident in the early hours of Sunday

Police are investigating how a man ended up in the road in Tavistock with serious injuries.

The casualty was found lying on Butchers Park Hill in the early hours of Sunday 3rd October.

He was rushed to hospital after being treated at the scene by paramedics.

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw what happened, anyone with CCTV or any drivers with dashcam footage.

Potential witnesses are being urged to call 101, quoting log 147 of 3rd October 2021.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police received a report of an injured male in the road at 02:44 hours on Sunday 3rd October 2021.

“It was reported that this had occurred on Butchers Park Hill Tavistock and that SWAST were attending.

“A local male was found lying on the road surface and paramedics administered first aid to him.

“He was later conveyed to Derriford Hospital Plymouth.

“Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident and in particular if anyone has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist the enquiry.

“Please quote log 147 of 03/10/21”.
