A man has been rushed to hospital following a serious crash on the A30 in west Cornwall.

Two cars collided in the Roseworthy Dip area on Saturday evening (16th October).

It is understood police, paramedics and the air ambulance were scrambled at around 7pm.

Officers say a male casualty suffered potentially life-threatening and life-changing injuries.

The Force Incident Manager added that a woman was also injured, however her condition was described as walking wounded.

The stretch between the junction for Camborne West and the Loggans Moor roundabout was closed for over 10 hours.

National Highways South West said the road had been closed overnight for investigation and recovery work.

Both carriageways reopened shortly before 7am on Sunday 17th October.
