Seasalt Cornwall has launched a new 'Between the Lines' campaign to help raise awareness of mental health.

It is part of the company's three-year partnership with mental health charity, Mind - with all profits from its new T-shirt being donated.

The idea behind the campaign is that it is not always obvious when a person is struggling with their mental health and, sometimes, reading between the lines can make all the difference.

Paul Hayes, CEO at Seasalt Cornwall, said: "We share Mind's belief that no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone, which is why we are proud to support the charity's valuable work. Our Between the Lines campaign aims to highlight the importance of checking in on each other.

"We hope our customers will wear their Between the Lines stripes with pride, reassured by the knowledge that their purchase will go towards providing support to people who are struggling with their mental health".

To support the campaign, five people from the Seasalt Cornwall and Mind community who each have lived experience with a mental health problem, shared their stories.

Jonny, Ridhima, Pete, Kerry and Sara feel passionately that opening up the conversation is a crucial part of raising awareness and reassuring others that they are not alone.

Charlotte Porter, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Mind, added: "We are extremely grateful to Seasalt Cornwall for supporting Mind with our mission to be there for everyone experiencing a mental health problem.

"We are in a difficult time, with many of us feeling the lasting impact of the pandemic and now the cost-of-living crisis. We can expect to see a rise in mental health problems and increased demand for mental health services so the support we’re receiving from Seasalt through this campaign is really crucial.

"The money raised through this partnership will help us to keep our vital services running, including Mind Infoline, legal line, and our online peer support community Side by Side, so that we can be there for the people who need us".

Seasalt hopes to raise £45,000 to provide help to anyone experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
