Major search underway for missing diver off the coast of Falmouth

The coastguard, Royal Navy, RNLI and rescue helicopters are all involved

A major search is underway off the coast of Cornwall to try and find a missing diver.

The coastguard, RNLI lifeboats, the Royal Navy and rescues helicopters are all involved in the search operation.

It is understood that the diver has gone missing off Pendennis Point, in Falmouth.

"HM Coastguard is coordinating the search for a missing diver off Pendennis Point."

"Both Falmouth RNLI lifeboats, HM Coastguard’s fixed-wing aircraft and the search and rescue helicopter from Newquay, a Royal Navy helicopter and vessels in the area are all involved in the search.

"The search is ongoing."
