This was the moment a little seal pup was found in a Cornish town... at a bus stop.

It is thought she had been washed in by the bad weather and high water on Wednesday morning, and made her way to a bus stop in Porthleven to seek shelter from the storms.

Teams from the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek and British Divers Marine Life Rescue were called to the scene to help.

They assessed the pup and gave her fluids but luckily she wasn't injured.

The rescue crews then moved her to a safer location and released her back into the sea.

"An unusual one this morning! The team were called to Porthleven after reports of a female grey seal pup by a bus stop.

"The poor pup had made her way to the bus stop after being brought in by the bad weather and high water, presumably seeking shelter from the storms.

"Together with BDMLR medics, the team assessed the pup, who was found to be healthy and with no injuries.

"She received hydrating fluids and was carefully moved to a safer location, back in the sea.

"Well done to everyone involved for getting this little one back to safety!"
