Dates have been announced for the 2021 Royal Cornwall Show.

The annual event in the Duchy was cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Now the Council of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association (RCAA) has announced that the 2021 Royal Cornwall Show will move from its usual dates in June, to later in the year.

It will take place from Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th September 2021, at the Royal Cornwall Events Centre in Wadebridge.

Bosses say that due to the continued uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic going into next year, and for the safety of visitors, exhibitors, competitors, and staff, which is their biggest priority, moving to dates later in the year is the most sensible decision.

“After the huge disappointment of cancelling the 2020 Royal Cornwall Show, we are delighted to be back for 2021, albeit at a later date. By moving the Show to September, we can allow more time for the vaccine to be rolled out, restrictions on public events to be eased, and for general day-to-day life to return to something close to normal.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Royal Cornwall Show in 2021, for what we hope will be a great Cornish celebration, after what has been a very difficult year for everybody."

RCAA Secretary, Chris Riddle ARAgS

The RCAA team will publish more information for ticket holders, competitors, and exhibitors, with their options, in the New Year.

Officials say they understand that there will be many questions, but gratefully ask for patience at this time, while they still operate at reduced staffing levels.
