Police appeal after road rage incident leads to assault in St Ives

Two people have attended voluntary police interviews

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road rage incident which led to an assault in St Ives.

It happened on Longstone Cross one evening back in February.

An altercation between the occupants of both vehicles reportedly took place, where two people were assaulted.

A man and a woman both in their 30s have attended voluntary police interviews.

Anyone who saw what happened or with information is being asked to contact officers.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of an assault in St Ives on Friday 25 February at around 7pm.

"The incident is reported to have taken place on Longstone Cross where an incident of road rage has occurred involving two vehicles.

"It was further reported that an altercation took place involving the occupants of both vehicles and that two people were assaulted.

"A man in his 30s and a woman in her 30s have attended voluntary police interviews in relation to this matter."

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/016912/22.
