Organisers of Falmouth Week have confirmed the Red Arrows display has been cancelled.

The jets were due to deliver their classic aerobatics over the bay at 6:15pm on Wednesday (11th August).

The team were keeping everything crossed right up until the last hour...

Unfortunately, the Cornish mizzle means visibility is too poor for them to take to the skies.

Red 10 tweeted to say 'conditions are far below our legal minima for a safe display'.

Organisers of Falmouth Week have tweeted to say they are 'absolutely gutted' but thanked everyone for their support.

We are waiting to hear if the display will be rescheduled for later in the year or next year.
