A quad bike rider has suffered potentially life-changing injuries after a crash near Launceston.
Police say a lorry and a car slowed to a stop on a small rural road in the North Petherwin area last Thursday afternoon.
The quad bike rider, in his 60s, tried to avoid the vehicles came off his quad bike. He had to be airlifted to hospital by the air ambulance.
The road was closed while investigators went over the scene.
Officers are asking anyone who saw what happened or with any information to get in touch.
"Police investigating a serious road traffic collision in North Petherwin, Launceston, at around 3.45pm, on Thursday 29th April, are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
"As a result of a lorry and a car slowing to a stop on a small rural road, the rider of a quad bike has taken evasive action causing him to become unseated.
"The rider, a man in his 60s, sustained what could be life-changing injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance.
"Once a full examination of the scene was conducted the road was re-opened.
"Police would like to thank the public for their patience while the road was closed."
