Two people suffer smoke inhalation and burns after fire near Helston

Two people have suffered smoke inhalation and burns to their hands after a house fire near Helston.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to Crowntown in the early hours of Thursday morning, amid reports of an electricity box on fire.

Smoke was issuing and crews used a hose reel jet to put the blaze out.

"Appliances from Helston and Tolvaddon along with a flexi-duty officer responded to reports of an electricity box on fire within a property.

"The initial crew arrived to confirm smoke was issuing and proceeded to extinguish the fire with breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet.

"Western Power Distribution attended to make the electric box safe and South Western Ambulance Service were requested due to two persons suffering with smoke inhalation and burns to their hands."
