Prince Charles has rounded off his and Camilla's three-day tour of Cornwall and Devon with a pint!

The Royals ended their annual trip to the region on Wednesday (21st July), with a visit to North Devon.

The couple surprised local residents in Iddesleigh at their lunch club - the first since the pandemic began!

Earlier in the day, the Duchess of Cornwall chatted with 'War Horse' author Michael Morpurgo, whose novel she will use for Season 3 of her Reading Room.

She later met families and staff supported by Children's Hospice South West.

Camilla chatted to some of the children at Little Bridge House, including Sammy.

He told her "thank you all for joining the rest of our family members", before HRH asked if he would help her plant a tree.

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall met school children on the Isles of Scilly.

They arrived at Five Island Academy School in a Go-EV Car Share Vehicle.

It is one of a fleet recently installed on St Mary's to encourage sustainable travel.

Prince Charles was given a tour of the school's fruit and vegetable patch, while Camilla joined pupils for a special storytime peformance.

The Royals then travelled to the neighbouring island of Bryher to visit local businesses Island Fish and Veronica Farm, where the Duchess was put to work in the fudge kitchen!

Their tour began on Monday with a walk-about in Exeter and a reception in Lostwithiel, to celebrate 10+1 years of the Prince's Countryside Fund.

Prince Charles was sporting a purple zebra-print tie for the occasion, where he chatted with farmers and charities who work with the organisation.

During a speech, he also launched the fund's new Confident Rural Communities Network.

HRH said: "On my visits to differenct communities around the country, when allowed to do so, I'm always struck by the resilience, good humour and adaptability of those who live and work in the countryside".

He added:"It will enable us to pull the threads together, make connections, share experiences and galvanise all your collective efforts to ensure a real future for rural Britain".
