A nurse from Cornwall was given the very important job of giving the Prime Minster his first coronavirus vaccine.

Lily Harrington grew up in Porthleven before moving to London where she now works at St Thomas' hospital in the capital.

The Prime Minister attended his appointment with Lily on Friday 19th March at the same hospital where he was treated for the virus back in April last year - and spent a few days in intensive care.

Lily's former bandmates from the Cornish harbour town were quick to honour her on social media.

"Porthlevener and one of our former players Lily is all over the news.

"Boris or no, she's always been adored by everyone she meets, a special girl, just like her sisters and mother."
