Police issue update following serious crash in west Cornwall

Police have issued an update after a serious crash in west Cornwall.

Officers were trying to trace a biker who left the scene near Marazion on Thursday afternoon.

The collision involved a blue motorbike between the Turnpike and Newtown roundabouts on the A394.

They have since confirmed that the man taken to hospital with serious leg injuries, where he currently remains.

Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage is asked to get in touch.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called at around 2.50pm on Thursday 2 September to the A394 at Marazion following reports of a collision.

"The incident was reported to have taken place between the Turnpike and Newtown roundabouts and involved a blue motorcycle.

"The bike rider left the scene prior to police arrival but has since been spoken to. He was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries where he remains at this time.

"Officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious Collision Investigation Team are appealing for anyone that may have dash cam footage capturing a person leaving the immediate area, to come forward."
