Death 'treated as not suspicious' after man's body found in Camborne

Devon and Cornwall Police have released an update after the discovery at Church View Road

Police have confirmed the death of a man, whose body was found at a house in Camborne, is not being treated as suspicious.

The 48-year-old was discovered after officers were called to Church View Road.

Local residents reported seeing multiple police vans and forensics in the area on Saturday morning.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed a man had been found dead and they were treating the death as unexplained.

However in a statement released on Monday, the force confirmed that was no longer the case.

The man's family have been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

It reads: "Police were called at around 9am on Saturday 22 January with reports of a body being located in the Church View Road area of Camborne.

"Emergency services attended and the person was declared deceased at the scene.

"The body is of a 48-year-old male from the Camborne area.

"His next of kin have been informed.

"Initially treated as unexplained, his death is now being treated as not suspicious.

"A file is to be prepared for the coroner".
