Hunt for ‘man with firearm’ after alleged assault at house in Bodmin
Police are carrying out enquiries but do not believe there is a danger to the public
Searches are being carried out after police were called to an alleged assault at a house in Bodmin, where a man was reported to have brandished a firearm.
Officers identified a possible address where they believed the suspect might have been.
Armed police attended and searched the property but the suspect was not found.
The incident happened on the morning of Easter Sunday and enquiries are ongoing.
At the current time, Bodmin Police do not believe there is a danger to the public.
Anyone with any information is being urged to contact the police, quoting reference 271 of 4th April.
“During the morning of Sunday 4th April the Police were called to an address in Bodmin where the occupants claimed they had been assaulted by a male.
“During this incident it was alleged the suspect had brandished a firearm.
“Enquiries to locate the suspect identified a possible address in Bodmin where they may be, as a result armed officers attended that location and with the householders permission searched, the suspect was not located.
“Enquiries are continuing to locate the suspect, at this time there is believed to be no danger to members of the public.
