On-duty police officer 'bottled' during alleged fight in centre of Liskeard

An on-duty police officer has reportedly been hit in the head with a bottle and shoved to the floor during an alleged fight in Liskeard.
It is understood he was approached from behind as he chatted to people on Barras Street on Saturday night.
The casualty ended up in hospital but has since been discharged.
Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for CCTV footage and urging any witnesses to come forward.
Two men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of assault causing GBH with intent and have been released on police bail until the New Year.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault following reports of disorder in Liskeard on Saturday evening.
"An on-duty police officer was talking to members of the public in Barras Street at around 9.30pm when he was assaulted.
"It was reported that the officer was approached from behind and assaulted with a bottle to the head before being pushed to the floor where he was further assaulted.
"The East Cornwall based officer was taken to Derriford hospital where he was treated and has since been discharged.
"Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Barras Street between 9pm and 10pm on Saturday 18th December and may have relevant information to get in touch.
"Anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage, or other video footage which may be relevant are also asked to contact police".
The added: "Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information which may assist the investigation is asked to contact police on 101 quoting CR/110192/21".
Two men, aged 32 and 29, and a 34-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
They have been released on police bail until mid-January.
